How do you tie that belt?

It's very common, especially when starting martial arts, to have some difficulty tying your belt. Also, with so many children involved in martial arts these days, it's usually up to the parents to learn to tie the belt as well. It's important to remember that your instructor has the final say as to how your belt should be tied. I hope this small video clip helps.

A Brief Sparring Tip

This clip shows some fantastic, simple roundhouse kicks. However, the real tip is about what's going on with the kicker's hands while they are kicking. Pay attention to how The Karate Guy changes up the height of his kicks. This a great follow up to the free How to roundhouse kick download. You will notice how the chamber of the kick is directly on the centre line. This tip doesn't need a partner to practice, but a mirror would be helpful.
